MAVIX MediaRacers®250 turn analog cameras into advanced digital surveillance solutions. Attach a MediaRacer®250 and convert analog video into H.264, MPEG4, MPEG2 or JPEG (software selectable) digital format. Resolution is scalable from DVD quality video (4CIF) to the narrowest of bandwidth (5Kbps). Result: analog surveillance networks gain reach and capability while leveraging existing infrastructure.The MediaRacer®250 is smart in utilizing network resources. Send only the minimum data through your network by adjusting your video according to resolution, frame rate and bit depth. Employ multicast and “wake on event” capabilities to send only required streams. Reduce storage costs by having the MediaRacer®250 automatically create two output streams from one video source - one to view data and record events, and a second to store non-event video.

Featuring two powerful and programmable processors, MediaRacers®250 have all of the muscle you need to stream high-resolution 4CIF video even on 2 Mbps and two-way audio while running complex monitoring applications and capturing external data. Local edge recording eliminates downtime due to network issues.
Best of all, MediaRacer®250 are easy to use. By using the drag-and-drop MAVIEW Console software you can configure an entire network of MAVIX devices with no programming knowledge. For those with preexisting applications, MAVIX video can be integrated via the MAVIX SDK (software development kit) and API (application program interface). User interface offers familiar controls (joystick or keyboard) as well as advanced on screen controls.
Optional Outdoor VMD. This is a military grade Video Motion Detection with almost no false positives. The system allows for the elimination of rain, clouds, tree movements, and animals including birds from activating unwanted alarms.
